Overview
Midway between the Dafna business and residential district and the Lusail development district is one of the most prestigious locations in Doha. The site for this 72 hectare development has 93 office buildings, a mosque and ECQ headquarters. Here is a plan which is based on a symbolism which goes to the heart of the city's petrochemical origins. Following the analogy of the tree which is the ultimate source for oil, fuel and fire, the city is planned as an irregular section lifted from a great spiral which is representative both of an energy cycle and of a fractal geometry of organized chaos, commencing at a centre point, developing an infinitude of opportunities as it spirals outwards.
