About us

MZ Architects is a multi-award winning architecture firm founded and led by Marwan Zgheib since 2002. Initially based in Qatar, the firm won several architectural competitions and had the opportunity to acquire extensive experience in designing and developing high-rise buildings in the midst of the construction boom in the country.

Within few years, MZ Architects became one of the leading architecture and consultancy groups in Qatar and in the Gulf, and established in 2007 a regional office in Abu Dhabi upon the winning of an International Design competition for the ALDAR HQ. Also in 2007, MZ Architects have reassigned its headquarters in Lebanon as an architecture and urban planning firm providing services ranging from master planning projects, high-rise buildings, stadiums, cultural centers and educational and industrial buildings to hotels, individual houses and residential buildings. MZ have succeeded to spread their design mark across Lebanon, Qatar, the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Nigeria and have built a strong relationship with their clients.

Over the years, MZ Architects have generated many significant projects, all underlined by a commitment to sustainable systems and a modern aesthetic sense that embraces constantly the historical and cultural context of each project.

MZ Architects have pushed by that the boundaries of the architecture, giving its design a sensation of force and movement and producing a continuous dialog of functional architecture and sculptural form and a charming connection between the past and the present.

Vision

MZ ARCHITECTS BELIEVES IN PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN. OUR WORK RELATES TO SPATIAL CONCEPTS, FORM AND STRUCTURE.

Our approach, driven by the specifity of context, expands the image of the modernist tradition, builds upon its thoughts and develops its notions. MZ Architects’ designs essay with pure geometric forms, intensifying the volumetric, in the pursuit of an aesthetic that has become our architectural vocabulary.

Coming from our interest in both nature and art, our approach to form gives our design a sense of force and movement, always creating a dialog of functional architecture and sculptural form.
