Overview

Balancing the busy Camp life with comfort, entertainment and convenience, the proposed Onne Estate Leisure area is set to become a place that restores the soul of Onne Camp residents. Adjacent to the Camp site, yet architecturally disconnected from Camp life, the Leisure and recreational area is easily accessed through shaded walkways linking to external parking lots. With its fluid curve-shaped design as opposed to the right-angled Camp facilities, this public piazza creates a dynamic composition with a strong dialogue between three main buildings serving as Hotel, Auditorium and Restaurant. An elliptical umbrella-like slab hanging at 6 meters high offers a big shaded area protecting visitors from sunshine and rain, and creating an animated gathering space where Camp residents meet for daily life activities, to watch football games on giant screens, and host various public and holiday events.
